Brittany MacDonald:   Brittany, a 2010 graduate of Paso Robles High School. Brittany plans to enroll in a trade school to become a pharmacy technician and to also attend cosmetology school to become a beautician. The past five years Brittany has shown Suffolk Sheep for Santa Lucia 4-H. For her senior year she participated in t eh Paso Robles FFA with her Suffolk Sheep. The past two years of High School she joined a club called Student Athletic Training. This helps to maintain the body safe in all sports. This also provides physical therapy to build muscles back from an injury. Brittany enjoys volunteering at the Cayucos 4th of July Parade, Pioneer Day, serving pancakes at the 4-H pancake breakfast, delivering Easter dinner to Seniors and Christmas gift wrapping at the Boot Barn with the members of the Templeton Sheep group. In Brittany's spare time she enjoys shopping with her girlfriends and soaking up the sun on Lake Nacimiento.

Emily Powell:   Emily was born and raised in Santa Ynez Valley. She was surrounded by horses and enjoyed growing up in a small town. Emily moved to Atascadero in 2004 and then to Templeton in 2006. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Emily began riding at the age of four and discovered her love of barrel racing and rodeo. Emily attended the State Finals through the National Barrel Horse Association in 2004, 2005, and 2006 while also qualifying for the Youth World Finals in each year from 2004 to 2007. Emily also participated in District 7 California High School Rodeo Association . Emily also competes in team roping, break away, goat tying and pole bending. Emily volunteers to edit and manage the NBHA district 16 website and helps at local gymkhanas. Becoming the Creston Classic Rodeo Queen would give her the opportunity to volunteer at Creston Community Events. Emily would like to join California Cowbys Association when she turns eighteen in September to compete in Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. She is planning to attend Cuesta College in the fall to pursue a Ranch Management degree.

Marin Wolgamott:   Marin is a Senior at King City High School and lives in Lockwood on a 26 acre ranch. Living outside of town has taught Marin to have good time management skills. Marin is involved with the ASB Business Manager, Drum line snare drum leader; CSF Member, English Club Secretary, a Homecoming Queen Candidate, and she sang the National Anthem at the Senior Night football game. Marin is busy outside of school. She is the Miss Salinas Valley Fair 2009, a nine year member of Lockwood 4-H, singing in a church band at Mission San Antonio, a volunteer counselor for Monterey County 4-H Camp, and running her own side business. Marin loves being involved with the community. Marin will attend Cal Poly in the fall to major in Wine and Viticulture. Marin has many accomplishments in horse events, sports, music, singing, and wine grapes. Marin would like to continue support theses areas of interest. Becoming the Creston Classic Rodeo Queen will help her achieve this goal.

Mercedes Mason:   Mercedes (Sadie) is a junior at Atascadero High School. Sadie's goal is to become a Creston Classic Rodeo Queen, which would not only be an achievement by a great honor to represent the small, well loved country town of Creston. Sadie is active in affairs related to Creston's gymkhanas, horse shows, exercising lesson horses, cleaning pens, and grooming. She was a member of Atascadero's FFA and now belongs to Creston's 4-H, raising and showing Market lambs. When Sadie graduates a year early from Atascadero High School she plans to attend California State University Chico to pursue a degree in business management. She would like to be a role model for all the young girls of Creston.

Kara Kester:   Kara lives on the Bear Valley Ranch in Parkfield and has been riding horses since she was three years old. She is now thirteen years old and will be in the eighth grade next year. She has a 4.0 GPA and is very active with the Parkfield 4-H group. She has shown steers and heifers at the Salinas Valley Fair and at the Mid-State Fair and her family has won Breeder of the Year for her steers at both fairs. She participates in the 4-H horse club and the photography club. She is currently the corresponding secretary. Kara has participated in many local gymkhanas, such as the Pioneer Day Gymkhana and plans to join West Coast Junior Rodeo. She has ridden in the Parkfield Rodeo Grand Entry for several years. Kara's activities also include volunteering at her church and at the Parkfield Rodeo, and participating in the DARE program. She enjoys helping out at the ranch, swimming, horseback riding and showing cattle. Her long-term goal is to attend Cal-Poly as an agribusiness major.

Kelsey Morain:   Kelsey is twelve years old and has just completed the sixth grade at Lewis Middle School in Paso Robles. She is outgoing and always has a smile on her face. Kelsey's favorite hobbies are riding and competing in equestrian activities. She has participated in the Creston Gymkhanas and last year she went to the California Gymkhana Association state finals in Hollister. She competed successfully in her division and received a year-end award for holding a top time in barrels. Kelsey also participates in Jr. Rodeo, running barrels and poles. She is an excellent student and enjoys meeting new people. One of Kelsey's goals is to become a large animal veterinarian. She also plays soccer and volunteers with special needs children. Kelsey says she will work hard to represent the Creston Classic Rodeo.

Taylor Sulse:   Tayler is twelve years old and has just completed the sixth grade at Creston Elementary School. She has been riding horses since she was eight years old and has successfully competed in English, Western and Hunter/Jumper classes with her pony, Amigo, her half Arabian, Indy and Ducky, another family horse. She volunteers at many Creston events, and has participated in the Creston Gymkhanas. Tayler is a "straight A" student and has been nominated for and attended the National Young Scholars program camps including the National Young Leader's Conference in Washington DC. Tayler is active in the Creston 4-H group and is raising and showing a market lamb for the second year. Tayler loves Creston and would be honored to represent the Creston Classic Rodeo as it's Junior Rodeo Queen.

Vanessa Soto:   Vanessa is thirteen years old and is running for Creston Junior Rodeo Queen because she loves rodeo. She has participated in Junior Rodeo for the past three years in events including: goat tying, pole bending, breakaway and barrel racing. She is a Creston resident and just completed eighth grade at Templeton Middle School. Vanessa has been a member of Creston 4H for five years and has raised and bred swine. She especially enjoys helping the younger members of Creston 4H. She will be showing as an FFA member for the first time this year. She also plays Girls Softball as a first string pitcher and catcher. Vanessa would like the opportunity to serve the community she loves as the next Junior Rodeo Queen.
