Our rodeo attracts cowboys and cowgirls from all over California as well as from other states. Held each September since 1996, the rodeo was born out of a need for funding a community center. It is a community organized and staffed, three day event that carries on the tradition of the hard working pioneers that founded Creston. Located in the rural central coast area of California, The historic community of Creston is surrounded by horse and cattle ranches, farms and vineyards. It is the ultimate place to enjoy ranch rodeo.
It's good old straight-shootin', sinner-saved-by-grace theology throwing a rope out to ya. It's ridin', ropin' and religion in a dusty arena. No fancy duds. No politicized preaching. No denominational hair-splitting. It's come as you are, in spirit, spurs and Stetsons. You can come to church straight from gathering or feeding your stock. A cowboy church sermon is different. There's an open-handed, openhearted style to it. There's some good singing an' a picking and a short devotional time.
